Service Requirements (formerly Service Stipulation):

This program provides educational programs, leadership training, and funding for outstanding fourth-year medical students for a four-year period. Students must make a commitment to the specialty of family medicine.

Who Can Apply:

Attending US medical school; highest level of skills, academic performance, leadership, compassion, and service to others; demonstrate financial need; declared/committed to family practice.

Repayment/Scholarship terms:

The scholarship will be renewed each year of the scholarship period upon the awardee's successful completion of an annual evaluation.

Amount of repayment per year of service:

The maximum scholarship award is $28,000.

*There is no specific service commitment. A portion of the scholarship is paid during medical school and the remainder during residency.
