Service Requirements (formerly Service Stipulation):

A minimum of 2 years practice. Loan Payments are made after each anniversary date. The first payment would be at the end of the first year of service in the amount of $25,000, at the end of the second year for $35,000, the third year $45,000 and the final year would be $55,000 for a total not to exceed $160,000 over a four year period. The physician must submit documentation of outstanding medical education debt with their application. If less than $160,000 is owed, the physician will be eligible for the outstanding debt amount only.

Who Can Apply:
|
Graduates from an accredited medical or osteopathic college, successfully completed a postdoctoral program in primary care, and preparing to set up an initial practice or relocate a primary practice to an approved rural Oklahoma setting.

If the physician decides not to fulfill the minimum 2 year obligation, he/she would owe in lump sum the amount received, plus interest and any collection costs.
