All VSAS applicants accepting an elective offer at UCD SOM must go online and submit their elective processing fee within 48 hours of accepting the offer. The processing fee ($300) is based on UCD SOM policies and associated with VSAS services use.
Since a visiting student accepting an offer will keep the position from other interested candidates, UCD SOM does not refund the fees. The fees are only refunded if a department has to cancel the elective.
Some of the sites we offer for away electives are not UCD sites. Please note that you may have to provide more paperwork for these sites after being accepted and need to start processing this paperwork as soon as possible to ensure your slot (Shriners Hospital, jail and VA). UCD accepts AAMC standardized immunization form.
