Additional Application Requirements

Thank you for choosing the Greenville Health System/University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville for a visiting student rotation!  Please ensure you submit all required materials in order to be fully considered.  These materials include:  your CV, Photo, Transcript, and AAMC Immunization Form

A processing fee of one hundred seventy-five dollars ($175.00), which is due at the time of official acceptance, is required of each visiting student made out to the Greenville Health System. This fee must be paid by check and mailed to:  Office of Student Affairs Administration, Greenville Health System, 701 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605. No cash will be accepted. Checks are not deposited until after electives are approved.

GHS also requires that a background check be submitted with your application. The cost for the background check is the student's responsibility. If the home school does not already have a contractual agreement with a third-party background check agency, visiting students needing a federal background check can contact SR&I, a company used by GHS, at www.srandi.com. Approval of the rotation is contingent upon the results of the background check.

Applications will be reviewed in the Office of Student Services and forwarded to the appropriate department for approval/decline. When a decision is made by the department, the student will be notified immediately.
