Tuition and Student Fees, First-Year Medical School Students 2001-2002Table 1 compares current tuition and fee ranges, medians, and averages for all U.S. medical schools with the prior year. For public medical schools, average tuition and fees increased by 6.6 percent for residents, and by 5.9 percent for non-residents from 2000-2001 to 2001-2002. Average tuition and fees for private schools increased by 4.7 percent for residents, and by 4.5 percent for non-residents during the same period. The data for prior years may differ from that previously reported due to corrections and changes in school status. For example, between FY02 and FY03 one school was reclassified from private to public. Private Schools Public Schools Return To Year Selection Page |
