This compendium presents data about the prevalence of student mistreatment; information about the components of a school's "standards of conduct" statement, the definition of mistreatment, the process of developing definitions and school standards; examples of educational programs to prevent student mistreatment; and a bibliography of materials for further reading on the topic. This publication was prepared by the AAMC Group on Student Affairs to assist medical school and their faculties in the development of programs to prevent student abuse, mistreatment, and harassment.
