Learn about MedEdPORTAL from the comfort of your home or office by participating in a free 45-minute interactive web conference training workshop.  The online training workshop consists of an overview of the MedEdPORTAL system and provides examples of the various types of materials published and available for free to educators and students around the globe. More>>

Educational Scholarship Guides
An AAMC Educational Working Group on Educational Scholarship was established in 2005 and charged to develop a series of educational documents that describe the definition, peer review, publication, and recognition of educational scholarship in higher education. Drawing on the educational scholarship literature, the documents illustrate how published educational works are comparable to other forms of scholarship that are commonly used for promotion and tenure purposes. Submitting Author Instructions
Any medical, dental, or health educator or learner may submit materials to be considered for publication on MedEdPORTAL. Authors are strongly encouraged to read the author instructions prior to initiating the online submission. More>>

Peer Reviewer Instructions
Impartial assessment is an essential component of scholarly review. Peer review is the attentive, unbiased assessment of materials submitted to publication outlets by reviewers and is the very foundation of academic publication. Collegiality, respect for the author's dignity, and constructive criticism should undergird the review process. More>>

MedEdPORTAL invited reviewers and the peer review process serve as an important quality gatekeeper for MedEdPORTAL. The MedEdPORTAL website lists all reviewers that have completed an invited review. The lists of expert peer reviewers are updated annually. More>>
