Service Requirements (formerly Service Stipulation):

Must agree to serve a minimum of 3 years in a designated Primary Care or Dental HPSA. Practitioners with unserved obligations from other Federal, State or local loan repayment programs, or who are in default of any loan obligation are not eligible.

Who Can Apply:
|
US Citizen; a graduate of an accredited program who is eligible for certification/licensure in Pennslyvania. Recipient must maintain a full-time medical/dental practice in a nonprofit or private practice within a designated HPSA.
|

Deadline(s):
|
15th of May, August, November, or February.
|
|
Repayment/Scholarship terms:
|
$64,000 (max) for physicians & dentists; $40,000 (max) for CNMs, CRNPs, or PAs. Payments are made directly to the lender.
|
|
Amount of repayment per year of service:
|
1st year: 15%, up to $9,600 (physicians/dentists)/up to $6,000 (midlevels); 2nd: 20%, up to $12,800/up to $8,000; 3rd: 30%, up to $19,200/up to $12,000; 4th: 35%, up to $22,400/up to $14,000.
