Act 1058 of 2007 eliminated the Community Match Scholarship program for medical students. The community match program is now a physician recruitment program for medical school graduates, who are Arkansas residents, who wish to practice in a medically underserved area in Arkansas. Applicants may recieve up to $80,000.00 over four years for full-time practice in a community determined to be a medically underserved area.
