Physicians (MD and DO, including family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, general and pediatric psychology, oncology, obstetrics/gynecology); General Practice Dentists (DDS and DMD); Registered Clinical Dental Hygienists, Primary Care Certified Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Midwives, Primary Care Physicians Assistants, Licensed Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatric Nurse Specialists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Counselors of Mental Health, and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists.

Service Requirements (formerly Service Stipulation):
|
Minimum 2 years of practice required (optional 1-yr extensions available) in a medically underserved area in Delaware, identified by the Delaware Health Care Commission.
|

Who Can Apply:
|
US Citizen or a legal permanent resident of the US; committed to providing full-time care for at least 2 yrs in an underserved area; establish residency within 30 minutes of the practice site; have outstanding qualifying loans that are not in default; have a valid, unrestricted license to practice in the State of Delaware at the time the service obligation begins.

For a 2-year commitment, Advanced-degree Practitioners may be granted up to a maximum of $70,000 total for a two (2) year contract. Mid-level Practitioners may be granted up to a maximum of $35,000 total for a two (2) year contract.

Payments are made at 6-month service intervals; payments are graduated and increase over time; and payments are made directly to lenders.
