The Extramural Electives Compendium (EEC) is a searchable database containing information about the scheduling of elective opportunities at AAMC-member medical schools in the United States. This information includes:

Contact information for elective coordinators on medical school campuses
Application procedures
Opportunities for students enrolled in both U.S. medical schools and international medical schools
Dates for acceptance and assignment of visiting students to elective rotations
Maximum number of weeks of elective opportunities permitted
Application, tuition, health, and liability/malpractice insurance fees

Choose the "Search Schools By 'Institution'" option if you are seeking contact information for personnel at a specific medical school and/or information about school policies, requirements, and tuition and fee charges (if any).

Choose the "Search Schools By 'Geographic Region' or 'State/Canadian Province'" option to search by additional criteria, including the presence or absence of application fees for electives, of other tuition/fee charges for electives, or of elective opportunities for students enrolled at international medical schools.
